bathroom remodel 2017
slate shower 2017
a flagstone floor in progress... winter 2015
super tight joints in this massive flagstone job... this took a very long time.
cutting out any shape in a tile onsite without using water jet is something i am now doing
this shower has many inlayed fossils cut into the large porcelain tiles
glass tile backsplashe in herringbone
a close up shot of shower drain detail, this one has glass tiles in the pan
quartzite stone tiles in 12x12, 6x6, and 4x4's with lighted onyx top (top done by others)
very custom shower seats
custom inlays
large glass block walls
tiles seem to 'wrap-around' corners
large wall of glass tile...
Building curbs for a shower pan out of concrete with the pvc pan liner coming up outside the door
Building a shower pan, old school, here you can see the PVC pan liner wraping up the wall behind the concrete board, next will be the concrete pour...
this cut away display shower pan shows how my pans are built up, showing pvc pan liner, concrete curbs with NO lumber, elastomeric paint on membrane...etc
my shower seats slope inwards to give plenty of room for your feet and are constructed from concrete/foams build ups or WEDI panels, either way no chance of leaks because the waterproofing is behind them...
same seat after tile is complete..
another shower seat example showing extreme backslope giving lots of room for feet
site honed stone shower pans
smoothly set shiny marble
custom mosaic work
20x20 on a running bond pattern
this large 20x20 tile in this remodel job required undercutting door jams...standard procedure if you want a nice looking job.
I am a pet friendly contractor...
very custom kitchen backsplash tile job...showing metal edge
I didnt do this, but WOW! its in Italy...
showing two different storage areas, a tile shelf, and a metal basket holder... both very functional and easy to maintain.
stone shower pans can be site honed so they feel smooth on your feet...
this is what typical edges of stone floor tile look like when installed...
this is what they CAN look like, if one takes the time to round over all edges prior to the install, it makes a nicer finished floor.
this close up shows a large tile that has a rounded over or eased edge, as opposed to a sharp square edge (called rectified). when shoppiong for tile a rounded over smooth edge is always a must for me as it gives a better feeling floor to walk on and looks better.
notice the stone crown molding in this high end tub surround...
custom painted edges on tile, a service i provide, thus custom bullnose is not a problem...
notice how the cut tile turns the corner
this pattern was cut on a water jet. any shape is possible.
custom shower niches for soap, shampoo...
notice the wood look porcelain floor tiles here...
wood like porcelain tiles being installed with random look to simulate a real wood floor
glass tile kit backsplash...
fancy stuff...
a VERY old floor in italy...so cool... ( i did not do this)
yeah, i carved this one weekend... no this is in italy too, actually.
if you want the smoothest slate with the tightest joints...guess who you call.
a basic ''rug'' pattern in an entry...
bench seat is INSIDE the existing waterproofing of the shower --- no leaks ever !!!!!!!!!!! no lumber , no fasteners !!!!!
a simple tub face...notice how nicely the tiles seem to fit, all 1/2 and wholes...but if you look closely you will see there not.
